Current Cabinet: Oldenfranck , Alberts , Dourterk , and @holyempireofravink
I have called this meeting because of a concerning update on the News section of the NS page entitled "Nuclear Apocalypse Imminent" here is what is says:
"One thing I think we should all be proud of is that no two democracies on NationStates have ever gone to war with each other. Or two nations of any type. No matter how great our differences, we've always been able to resolve them through diplomacy and compromise, as opposed to a violent emptying of nuclear arsenals that endangers all life on the planet.
We should appreciate this while we can."
It is then proceeded by a countdown clock that has roughly 41 hours left on it. Those are the facts, this is what we know for certain. Various threads have started on the NS forums discussing it, but no one really knows what will happened once the clock reaches 0. The most popular speculations are that it is either an April Fool's Day Prank, It is a Site shutdown, it is a site reboot, it is a minigame feature for war, or it is just an event like the annual zombie apocalypse, accept with nukes. I will say once again that all of these theories are baseless, and we actually have no idea what is unfolding, if anything. I have talked a bit with our best allies in the Kappa region, who are also deeply troubled by this developement. They know nothing either, but both their delegate and I are holding meetings with our respective officials, for me, it's yall, and we are trying to figure out what to do. We will stay in contact regularly, and hopefully we can figure out how to keep ourselves safe, if this is anything at all.
I personally want to shut our borders ASAP, until we figure out what in the world is going on, but I would like to hear from all of you too, so maybe we can try to get a handle on this, and carry out a game plan. Any suggestions, advice, opinions, plans, etc. are more than welcome. While this is not a total emergency at this point, it is definitely time sensitive, and I would appreciate if we could start to figure out what to do.
