Due to concerns about the effectiveness of an elected Court (As well as some need for housekeeping), I propose the following amendments to the Saxon Justice Constitution:
-Remove Article IV, On Committees and Polls
-Amend Article V, Duty of Committees to reflect duties of Congress
-Add add in an Article between V and VI to reflect the duties of the Court, with these amendments to its duties:
-The Supreme Court will hence forth be an appointed body, appointed by the President.
-The region has the power to call a referendum to remove an Justice from the court if it is seen fit.
The amendments would appear as follows:
Article IV, Duties of Congress and Legislative Power
i. The Congress of the Union of Saxon Justice will be a body of Senators elected by the people
ii. The Congress holds exclusive legislative power, writing and passing legislation
iii. The Congress will accept submissions, but holds the right to deny any submission from passing
iv. The Congress may only pass laws that are in accordance with the Constitution of Saxon Justice
Article V, Duties of the Court and Judicial Power
i. The Supreme Court of the Union of Saxon Justice will be an appointed body of Justices, appointed by the President
ii. The Supreme Court holds exclusive Judicial Power, passing judgment on legality challenges, law violations, and Nations who are deemed a threat to the region
iii. The Supreme Court will accept submissions for legal disputes, but maintains the right to turn away submissions
iv. The Region maintains the right to call a poll to remove a Justice from the court
